The Richmond Centre for Disability (RCD) was founded by a small group of people with disabilities who wanted to give anyone with a disability the opportunity to fully participate in the community. Their goal was to ensure quality of life by working for inclusion, independence and empowerment. Today RCD successfully provides direct services to persons with disabilities serving more than 35,000 people over 65,593 hours. Our programs and services include information and referral, skills development, recreation and peer empowerment, and community engagement.
We invite the many individuals and families who benefit from services as well as caregivers, volunteers, and friends to become actively involved. As the demand for service increase, RCD needs your help to ensure that our full range of services continue to be available. A strong membership allows RCD to ensure that quality support for people with disabilities and their families is available.
